Promenade Concert: Hannes Wölfel

Experience Hannes Wölfel live at the music pavilion at Theresienstein!

Hannes is a musician through and through. When he’s not performing solo on stage or working on new songs at home, he teaches music and performs as a singer with the acoustic formation “play again sam.” International songs from 40 years of music history are reinterpreted, but never distorted or misrepresented. Every facet is utilized, using voice, guitar, and loop station. Sometimes you hear a “small band,” a “full orchestra,” and then again just voice and guitar. Hannes's cheeky and cheerful style is infectious, turning every listener into a “participant”!

In addition, you can occasionally hear original material from his albums “Unterwegs” and the EP “Stück für Stück zum Glück.” German songs in a singer/songwriter style, sometimes very personal, sometimes cheerful, but always with a lot of Hannes. And of course, the “Glücksong - Stück für Stück zum Glück,” with which Hannes won the Lottomusicaward 2019.

Admission is free! The long-time restaurateurs Klaus Schaller and Stefan & Bärbel Scherdel will take care of your culinary needs. They also run the summer restaurant at Theresienstein together every Sunday and holiday this summer. The menu features regional products. Hofer beer and coffee and cake, changing dishes such as stews, vegetarian options, snacks from “Hofer Allerei,” grilled sausages and steaks, roasts and dumplings on Sundays, and everything that a beer garden heart desires. Opening hours are: Sundays: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, holidays: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Music from Sting, Supertramp, Phil Collins, Toto, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Kansas, Eagles, even ACDC, among others, is presented without technical frills, grounded and honest - just with piano, guitar, and vocals - offering a whole new quality.

The interpretations by Thomas Goller (guitar, vocals) & Tom Götz (piano, vocals) are not mere covers; they are tributes to the musicians they admire.
