Linkin Park

Linkin Park is an American band founded in 1996 under the name Xero in Agoura Hills, Los Angeles County, California. The band is primarily associated with the music styles of Nu Metal, Alternative Rock, Rap Rock, and Electro Rock. After Chester Bennington joined as the lead vocalist in 1999, the band initially changed its name to Hybrid Theory and shortly thereafter to Linkin Park. With their debut album Hybrid Theory released in 2000, the band achieved international breakthrough. In the following years, they released six more studio albums: Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), The Hunting Party (2014), and One More Light (2017). With over 160 million albums and singles sold, Linkin Park is one of the most commercially successful bands of the 21st century. On July 20, 2017, Chester Bennington passed away. Following the death of their frontman, the band initially took a step back but later released anniversary albums featuring unreleased songs. In September 2024, they announced their comeback. Linkin Park currently consists of founding members Mike Shinoda (among others, vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Brad Delson (lead guitarist), Dave Farrell (bassist), and Joseph "Joe" Hahn (DJ), along with vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.
