Current Cinema Program and Today's Schedule at Central Cinema Hof

The Central Cinema Hof organizes its program in clear weekly schedules from Thursday to Wednesday. This is practical for planning your cinema visit: you can see at a glance which films are showing today and in the coming days, and at what times. Particularly helpful: the following program is usually published on Mondays. This way, you can secure seats early – for highly anticipated new releases, special series, or family-friendly screenings on weekends. In addition to major national releases, the program page regularly features curated series and specials such as Anime Nights, Film Selections, Original Versions (OV/OmU), Prosecco Cinema, and formats for Family & Kids. This mix appeals to very different target groups – from arthouse fans to blockbuster audiences.

For booking, you have two options: you can select your desired seats in the interactive seating plan online and complete the purchase via e-ticket in just a few steps, or you can use the cinema box office on-site. When purchasing online, you skip the queue and receive your tickets as a QR code on your smartphone or via email. Last-minute changes in plans? Online purchases can be canceled up to 30 minutes before the screening starts via the confirmation email or your customer area; refunds can be issued either as a reimbursement of the purchase price (minus the pre-sale fee) or as an online voucher for the full amount. The optional Cinecard link is also practical: during the purchase, you provide your Cinecard number and automatically collect bonus points.

Please note that last-minute changes to the schedule are possible – for example, due to additional screenings due to high demand, special events, or distributor arrangements. The Central Cinema indicates on the program page that there may be daily adjustments. Therefore, it’s worth taking a quick look at today’s overview before heading out. A tip for families: pay attention to the Family & Kids markings in the program; these screenings are timed and content-wise tailored to younger movie fans. Additionally, there are always special series that are ideal for group or club evenings.

Tickets, Prices, and Discounts – How to Book Smart

The Central Cinema Hof focuses on transparent, fair ticket prices and offers several discounts. Regular tickets start at 10.00/11.00 Euros. Children up to 12 years pay from 7.50 Euros (up to 6 years from 6.00 Euros). Students, seniors, and people with disabilities can get tickets from 8.50 Euros. For groups of eight or more, a discounted price starts at 9.00 Euros per person, and with the family ticket (parents or grandparents with two children up to 12 years), a joint cinema visit starts at 30.00 Euros; each additional child then pays the respective children's price. A clear saving tip is Tuesday as cinema day: here, prices start at 7.00 Euros, and children up to 12 years even from 5.00 Euros; please note that holidays are excluded from this offer.

Special features for 3D: Unlike many places, the Central Cinema Hof does not charge an additional fee for 3D screenings. You only need a compatible 3D glasses. If you already have a compatible pair, you can bring it along and reuse it. Otherwise, glasses are available at the box office for 1.00 Euro; for glasses wearers, the clip version costs 2.00 Euros. For the premium seating option in Cinema 1 – the VIP lounges – there is an additional charge of 2.50 Euros per person. Telephone reservations are possible; a flat fee of 2.00 Euros per booking process is charged for this service. Online and at the box office, the same ticket prices generally apply; for online tickets, the system fees are already included.

If you go to the cinema regularly, the Cinecard is worth it. It is available for a one-time fee of 2.00 Euros, can be loaded with credit, and can be used for both admission and concessions. The points system is easy to understand (1 Euro equals 10 points, daily limits apply); bonus points are credited to almost all transactions – including online purchases. Conveniently, online purchases linked to the Cinecard do not incur additional pre-sale fees (provided there is sufficient credit available). Additionally, pickup deadlines for reserved tickets are reduced. In the customer login, you can comfortably manage reservations, purchases, refunds, Cinecard assignments, and credit yourself.

Directions, Opening Hours, and Contact – Centrally Located, Easily Found

The address of the cinema is Altstadt 8, 95028 Hof. If you are coming by public transport, it is best to choose the stops Sonnenplatz or Oberes Tor; from there, it is just a few minutes on foot. Access to the cinema is via the old town passage, which also provides a weather-protected route, making it easier to arrive with children or hands full of popcorn. Thanks to the central location, a cinema visit is perfect to combine with a stroll through the city, a café visit, or a restaurant outing.

The box office hours are clearly defined: it opens 30 minutes before the first screening of the day and remains staffed until 8:30 PM. Especially on weekends with long screening times, box office hours or auditorium openings may adjust to the start of the screenings; the cinema explicitly points out that there may be differing opening hours depending on the schedule. For inquiries and service requests, you can reach the team by phone at 09281/142488. Additionally, a contact form is available; however, it is not intended for reservations. If you want to book quickly, use the online tickets with QR code and go directly to the entrance control.

One more organizational note: the program is planned in weekly blocks from Thursday to Wednesday, and the following program is usually published on Mondays. This creates quick planning and a clear structure for evenings with friends, family outings, or movie nights with colleagues. It is normal for times to occasionally shift at short notice in cinema operations – especially with highly demanded releases, special events, or spontaneous additional shows. A quick look at today’s program page before heading out ensures reliability.

Parking in the Old Town: Parking Options and Discounts

If you are arriving by car, you will find various parking options around the cinema. Outside of regular store opening hours, many free parking spaces are available in the vicinity. The Altstadt parking garage on Marienstraße 11 proves particularly convenient. The Central Cinema Hof cooperates with this parking garage and offers visitors a special rate: you receive a 1.50 Euro discount on parking fees. The process is straightforward: you have your parking ticket discounted by the cinema staff and then pay the remaining amount at the parking machine before exiting. From the parking garage, you can reach the cinema via the old town passage in a weather-protected manner and with short distances.

It is important to keep an eye on the parking garage's opening hours – especially for late screenings on weekends. So plan a few extra minutes for the walk from the auditorium to the car. For parents with children and strollers, the passage is a relief; the same applies in bad weather. If you are looking for a particularly quick arrival, the combination of online ticket and parking garage is recommended: choose seats in advance, have your parking ticket discounted at the cinema, and then walk to the car relaxed after the credits – this minimizes waiting times and costs. If you do not wish to use the parking garage, you can also find parking spaces around the old town depending on the time of day and week; in the evening, the chances are generally good, while during the day, a bit more search time is advisable.

Auditoriums, Seating, and Amenities – Comfortable, 3D Without Extra Charge, VIP Lounges

The Central Cinema Hof has 6 auditoriums with a total of 863 seats. This size strikes a pleasant balance between manageable orientation and sufficient capacity to show major new releases even at peak times. The highlight for those who prefer extra comfort is the VIP lounges in Cinema 1. For a moderate surcharge per person, they offer a spacious, relaxed seating or reclining position – ideal for long movies, romantic dates, or a cozy evening after a workday. The auditorium plans are displayed interactively during online booking; this way, you can see available seats, distances to the edges, preferred rows, and – depending on the auditorium – proximity to the screen. Those who value a centered image axis usually choose seats in the middle third, slightly above the center of the auditorium.

Technically, the cinema impresses with digital projection, 3D capability without extra charge, and a clear ticket logic. For 3D, a compatible pair of glasses is sufficient, which you can either bring along or purchase at the box office; there are clip versions for glasses wearers. The price-performance ratio is appropriate, as no 3D surcharge is applied to the ticket price. Combined with the VIP lounges, this creates a premium feel – especially in the large auditorium – without costs spiraling out of control. Visitor feedback also highlights cleanliness, friendly staff, and a good view of the screen, rounding out the positive overall experience. Groups also benefit from the variety of auditoriums: for school classes, clubs, or companies, a suitable auditorium and time can be found depending on occupancy.

Another advantage: with the weekly schedule structure, parallel-running titles can be sensibly distributed across the auditoriums. While blockbusters play in larger auditoriums, special-interest series, arthouse films, or original versions take place in a more intimate setting – increasing the availability of good seats. Those who are flexible can look for alternative dates during the week; thanks to the up-to-date overview, you can also decide spontaneously. Tip: For long films, the VIP lounges are a pleasant option; if you want to sit particularly close to the screen, you can quickly find your desired row via the seating plan.

Families, Children's Birthdays, and Vouchers – Cinema as a Shared Experience

Family-friendliness is highly valued at the Central Cinema Hof. The program section Family & Kids marks child-friendly screenings with appropriate times. For the next children's birthday, the cinema offers a complete package: included are the admission ticket, a kids' popcorn, and a 0.3-l drink. According to the offer page, the price per child is 9.50 Euros (up to a maximum of 12 years; minimum number of participants is four children); the general price list lists the children's birthday package as "from 9.00 Euros." The difference is explained by promotional periods and package variations; the currently communicated conditions are decisive. Parents pay the children's price, and the usual pickup deadline for reservations is waived for birthday reservations – making organization on the event day easier. A practical tip from the cinema: pick up tickets in advance if possible, take the included coupons for popcorn and drinks to the box office, and clarify the children's drink selection beforehand. While the accompanying adults bring the children into the auditorium, the staff prepares the kids' meals in the transport basket – ensuring everyone starts the screening relaxed.

Beyond birthdays, the cinema is an uncomplicated option for family afternoons – thanks to cinema day on Tuesday with particularly low prices and the family ticket starting at 30.00 Euros for parents/grandparents with two children (each additional child at the regular children's price). Cinema vouchers can be purchased at the box office or online and make great gifts for friends, colleagues, or as a thank-you in the family. For clubs, daycare centers, or school classes, group prices for eight or more people are attractive; additionally, the cinema serves as a reliable meeting point until the evening hours, as long as the parking garage is open and bus connections are running.

It is also worth mentioning the screen greeting: if you want to surprise someone – for example, with a short video message or a small video before the film starts – you can have a clip included in the pre-show for a fee (technical specifications and prices are listed on the offer page). This is perfect for anniversaries, marriage proposals, small thank-yous, or as a kickoff for the birthday movie night. In summary, the Central Cinema Hof presents itself not only as a place for film culture but also as a flexible stage for personal moments.

Smooth Booking Process: E-Ticket, Cancellation Up to 30 Minutes Before, and Cinecard

The online purchase process at the Central Cinema Hof is intentionally kept simple: you select your desired seats on the seating plan, choose a payment method, and confirm the purchase with your email address and terms and conditions. The result is a QR code e-ticket that you present at the entrance – either digitally on your smartphone or as a printout. An advantage of the system is the customer-friendly cancellation period: you can cancel online up to 30 minutes before the screening starts. The refund is either issued as a reimbursement of the purchase price (minus the pre-sale fee) or as an online voucher for the full amount – ideal if you are planning your next cinema visit anyway.

If you come frequently, you can link your Cinecard. This is available at the box office for a one-time fee of 2.00 Euros, is transferable, and can be loaded with credit that can be used for tickets and concessions. You earn points for every Euro spent (with daily limits), which in turn provide attractive benefits; bonus points are also credited for online purchases. With the Cinecard, additional online pre-sale fees are waived if credit is used. In the customer login, you can manage the card, load credit, and view your bonus points. For telephone reservations, a separate service fee applies; those who only book online completely avoid this charge. Overall, the booking process is straightforward, transparent, and designed for as few clicks as possible – good for spontaneous decision-makers as well as planners.

A nice cinema in the city center. This cinema is right in the middle of downtown. It's hardly recognizable as a cinema from the outside among the other shops. However, the decor is distinctive, it has its own flair. It's nicely furnished and well-maintained. The interior is also impressive. The ambiance is stylish and well-kept. The restrooms are modern and cleanliness is impeccable. The seats in the cinema hall could be cleaner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pricing is very fair for this cinema. Due to its location, parking is very difficult. The online booking function is well done.
