Visiting the observation platform of the town hall tower is definitely worth it. You can get the key at the tourist information center around the corner. On the way up, you pass by the old clock mechanism and also the bell (Caution! Watch your head). Once at the top, you can enjoy the 360° view. There is a protective railing and niches for cameras.

Highly recommended with a beautiful view over the entire courtyard. Admission is free. Keys are available at the tourist information office.

The tower is very nice to climb on sunny days. However, I am not sure if a reservation is required. It is great for young children to see the bells in the tower. The view over the city is wonderful.

Here you have a great view over Hof. I visited once with my elementary school and again today. The last steps before the bells are a bit challenging, both going up and down, as there is no railing at that point. The bells (before the exit to the viewing platform) are also a bit narrow, requiring you to duck or even crawl underneath if necessary. The stairs are also a bit narrow (just a heads-up, not a criticism). You can get the key at the tourist information office a few meters away. Once you've made it up, you'll have a fantastic 360-degree view over Hof. A very successful attraction!

Town hall tower + sunny weather = great experience. Many years ago, we had the pleasure of visiting the tower with the 11th/12th grade. Or was it the 13th grade (that was a while ago). I must say, the view on a summer day is truly magnificent. In the morning or evening, you can definitely capture some great panoramas from here. If possible and you're able to, you should climb the approximately 150 steps.
