White is the brightest of all colors, not a spectral color, but a mixture of individual colors. White symbolizes perfection, goodness, purity, innocence, enlightenment, insight, and peace, while in Asian cultures, it also represents loss and mourning.</p> <h3>The Piece: Plot and Theme</h3> <p>White is also the color of the so-called “Ballets blancs,” scenes from the romantic ballet style where the ballerina or the corps de ballet is dressed in white.
